The research shows that the most active categories in the Finnish martech scene are Content & Experience and Social & Relationship.

The Finnish Martech Landscape 2021 research has been published. The research is conducted by MarkkinointiKollektiivi, the publisher behind MarkkinointiUutiset.

The research lists all the start-ups, scale-ups and established martech companies originating from Finland,divided into six categories based on Chief Marketing Technologist’s annual global martech landscape.

– This research was conducted in order to paint a cohesive picture of the Finnish martech landscape. For marketing professionals this gives inspiration and makes it easy to find something new and exciting. For the companies making the list this brings exposure but also shows the competition within every sub-category and as a whole. You really need to stand out from the crowd! Santtu Kottila, the founder of MarkkinointiKollektiivi explains.

The research was conducted between November 2020 and February 2021 and Kottila says that this will turn into a tradition.

– There is no point in conducting this research and not following up on it. We will execute this every year so it will also work as a continuous research that shows whether the Finnish martech industry is able to grow in numbers.

Kottila is pointing out a few trailblazers from the pack and also hopes that the next “big names” are among the companies listed.

– Supermetrics and Smartly are already widely known outside Scandinavia but we need more companies like them. The Finnish martech scene is vibrant but we Finns could be a bit bolder in what comes to taking the leap and scaling the business outside our home market.
